Standard Nuclear Announces Fuel Supply Agreement with Antares Nuclear, Inc.
Antares signed a multi-year agreement to purchase TRISO fuel from Standard Nuclear for its microreactor powering fielded systems in defense and space
Oak Ridge, TN — August 27, 2026 — Standard Nuclear (NYSE: STDN) ("Standard Nuclear" or the "Company"), a reactor-agnostic producer of TRISO nuclear fuel and the only U.S. company with industrial-scale TRISO fuel fabrication facilities, today announced the execution of a binding fuel supply agreement ("FSA") for supply of TRISO fuel with Antares Nuclear, Inc. ("Antares"), a nuclear fission energy company developing microreactors for defense and space applications.
As part of the FSA, Standard Nuclear will deliver a minimum of one MTU, up to eight MTUs of TRISO fuel to Antares through 2035. Antares will use Standard Nuclear's TRISO fuel to power its microreactors, which are designed to enable critical mission capabilities for both the Department of War and commercial customers.
“Antares is building reactors for some of the most demanding environments on earth and in space, and Standard Nuclear is proud to support Antares for their strategic energy applications,” said Kurt Terrani, President and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Nuclear. “We are working to scale our TRISO production capacity across identical facilities and continue to adhere to our customers’ needs. Now, as our customers move from demonstration toward commercial deployment, we are building the supply chain that advanced reactors need to meet their commercial needs and our nation’s energy and national security.”
The FSA fortifies the parties’ growing partnership and secures the domestic supply of TRISO fuel for years to come, which also advances the domestic supply chain for advanced nuclear reactors. As the only U.S. company with industrial-scale TRISO fuel fabrication facilities, Standard Nuclear is scaling production across multiple, licensed facilities, a replicable manufacturing model built to scale with customer demand.
"We are focused on delivering dependable, high-performance power to meet our customers' most demanding energy needs,” said Jordan Bramble, CEO and Co-founder of Antares. “Standard Nuclear is an ideal partner, bringing the industrial scale and critical fuel supply security necessary to support our long-term growth.”

The Company’s internationally recognized technical team, together with its operation and ownership of facilities licensed for large-scale TRISO fuel manufacturing, positions Standard Nuclear to deliver advanced nuclear fuel to a rapidly growing industry and to strengthen the domestic supply chain underpinning U.S. national security.
