Firms in Asia Pacific Embrace Unified Workday Platforms SYDNEY--( BUSINESS WIRE)--Organizations across Asia Pacific are replacing fragmented legacy finance and human capital management (HCM) environments with a connected Workday platform that improves visibility into operations, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group ( ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

Asia Pacific is becoming a driver of expansion and platform innovation in the Workday ecosystem. Companies here want a shared digital core that is flexible enough to reflect each market’s distinct labor rules, payroll practices and workforce expectations.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens ® Workday Ecosystem report for Asia Pacific finds that demand for unified systems is rising as employers contend with severe skills shortages, diverse labor requirements and the expectations of increasingly digital-native workforces. Talent pressure is especially acute in Australia and Japan, where businesses are seeking consumer-grade technology systems to attract and retain skilled professionals. Across the region, organizations are bringing together information about people and finances to support more consistent operating decisions. This shift is changing Workday adoption from a technology deployment to a broader business transformation.

“Asia Pacific is becoming a driver of expansion and platform innovation in the Workday ecosystem,” said Michael Gale, partner and regional leader, ISG Asia Pacific. “Companies here want a shared digital core that is flexible enough to reflect each market’s distinct labor rules, payroll practices and workforce expectations.”

Enterprises in the region are using Workday to unite human resources, financial management, workforce planning and operational information. This approach removes data siloes and improves real-time visibility into financial close activities. Common data helps leaders improve predictive planning, coordinate decisions across functions and identify workforce implications earlier. It also gives organizations a shared basis for aligning workforce priorities with financial outcomes.

Workday ecosystem providers are helping enterprises integrate core human resources systems with localized payroll and banking systems across Asia Pacific. Multinational companies need this integration to address highly diverse tax, labor and regulatory rules in countries such as Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Workday customers are redesigning their operating models before adding the platform’s AI capabilities and digital agents. Providers are supporting readiness work on process standardization, data quality and future roles to ensure the new technologies deliver measurable business outcomes. Finance teams are redesigning close-to-report processes, applying data governance and establishing audit risk controls, ISG says.

“Workday adoption in Asia Pacific is becoming a broader transformation of finance, HR and operating models,” said Megha Dodke, lead author of the report. “Organizations need reliable data, clear controls and redesigned processes before scaling AI-enabled workflows.”

The report also explores other Workday ecosystem trends in Asia Pacific, including rising demand for pre-packaged Workday suites among midsize enterprises and the impact of Workday’s Flex Credits commercial model on enterprise cost strategies.
