O-I Glass Investigation Details
O-I Glass, Inc. reported second-quarter 2026 financial results, posting adjusted earnings of $0.09 per share and lowering its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings guidance after previously forecasting $1.00 to $1.50 per share. On the Company's April 29, 2026 first quarter earnings call, Chief Executive Officer Gordon Hardie stated, "We have updated our 2026 guidance to adjusted earnings of $1 to $1.50 per share." During that same call, Chief Financial Officer John A. Haudrich acknowledged that the Europe segment was "breakeven in the first quarter" and "down roughly $68 million" from the prior year, but told investors the Company expected "full-year sales volumes to be about flat with the prior year." When reporting second-quarter results, however, O-I Glass disclosed that Europe segment operating profit had fallen to $6 million, down from $90 million in the prior-year period, contributing to the Company's reduced outlook. Following this news, O-I Glass shares fell approximately 15% on July 29, 2026.
